Institute for Positive Health (iPH) is the driving force behind the Positive Health movement.
The foundation was established by Machteld Huber, the founder of the philosophy.
IPH wants to stimulate, strengthen and accelerate the Positive Health movement. Together, we can make the Netherlands the largest Blue Zone in the world, a place where people can live longer, healthier and happier lives more than anywhere else in the world.
Everyone can find inspiration at iPH to get started with the ideas. We provide training in which the ideas are optimally elaborated. We help solve obstacles that stand in the way of Positive Health. And we further develop the concept of Positive Health with the help of research.

IPH wants to stimulate, strengthen and accelerate the Positive Health movement. As many people and organizations as possible work together in this movement, to bring Positive Health within everyone’s reach.
Objectives
For the period 2019-2021 we will continue to work on increasing the societal value of Positive Health through implementation in the Dutch health care system. This happens on the levels: nano, micro, meso, macro. And in the domains: policy, practice, research and education.
- Implementation of Positive Health in national, local and governmental policy;
VWS, provinces and municipalities, insurers and professional organisations. - Implementation of Positive Health in the practice of health care institutions and organizations.
- Research into the effects, applications and implementation of Positive Health for scientific anchoring.
- Implementation and quality assurance of Positive Health in education at all levels in medical curricula, training and (eventually) in primary education.
These objectives are further specified in our work plan 2019-2021.
