The alternative dialogue

How to bring up the subject of the spider web?

Positive Health may not be a concept that is familiar to the person for whom you want to use it. It is not necessarily important to explain the concept beforehand, before you start asking questions about it.

Curious about how people rate their own health?

In such cases, you may start with this question: ‘I am curious about how you view your own health. On a scale of 0-10, how healthy would you say you feel?’ If the answer warrants a closer look, then invite the person to fill out the spider web.

Is there a request for help or a complaint?

Then you may use this introduction: ‘I often see that physical complaints can be related to other things going on in someone’s life. Shall we take a broader look?’ Ask if you could take a broader look, together, to see how they are doing.
